How Finalyse can help
Solvency II
Solvency II requires insurers to maintain robust capital, risk management, governance and reporting frameworks that reflect their individual risk profiles. As the framework evolves, insurers also need to assess the impact of regulatory changes, make better use of proportionality and make effective use of their capital and balance sheet.
Finalyse supports insurers across the Solvency II lifecycle — from technical provisions, capital modelling and ORSA to reporting, actuarial function support, peer reviews and strategic balance sheet optimisation.
With the revised Solvency II framework applying from 30 January 2027, we also help (re)insurers assess the impact of the changes, adapt their models and processes, and prepare for implementation.
How does Finalyse address your challenges?
HoAF / Actuarial Function Support
Support the Actuarial Function with technical provisions, methodologies, models, assumptions and data, as well as QRT, SFCR and RSR reporting.
We provide targeted or BAU assistance, helping insurers maintain robust actuarial processes, sound governance and clear documentation, while meeting Solvency II requirements.
Actuarial Outsourcing Support
Support production of the Solvency II balance sheet and Solvency Capital Requirements (SCR), together with the related analysis and reporting.
This involves supporting maintenance and development of capital models, ensuring they remain aligned with the insurer’s internal governance framework, methodologies, systems and regulatory requirements.
ORSA Support
Support the production and enhancement of Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), including projections, stress testing and scenario analysis.
We translate complex actuarial and risk analysis into clear conclusions and recommendations for management-level decision-making, including integration of climate and sustainability risks where relevant.
Solvency II Reporting Support
Support insurers with regulatory and actuarial reporting across Solvency II, including QRTs, SFCR and RSR, while helping streamline reporting processes and controls.
In multi-regime environments, we also help insurers align Solvency II reporting with IFRS 17 and other capital and reporting frameworks, including EBS, RBC and, where relevant, ICS.
Strategic & Operational Actuarial Support
Strengthen the effectiveness of the Actuarial Function through support on strategic initiatives, process improvement, governance, policies, tools and operating models.
We help insurers streamline actuarial processes, improve controls and make better use of data and technology while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Solvency II Peer Reviews
Provide independent review and challenge of assumptions, methodologies, models, expert judgement and material uncertainties.
Our peer reviews can assess the appropriateness of actuarial and risk methodologies, potential deterioration in assumptions or results, and the reasonableness of the Actuarial Function's conclusions.
