After the rejection of the Regulatory Technical Standards on the Key Information Document (KID) for the regulation on Packaged Retail and Insurance-Based Investments Products (PRIIPs) by the European Parliament, the regulation’s date of application has been delayed.
As requested by the European Parliament, the Council and numerous stakeholders, the European Commission has decided to delay the previous deadline for compliance - 31 December 2016 - by 12 months. PRIIPs manufacturers and distributors have now until 1 January 2018 to comply with the regulation’s requirements for the disclosure of quantitative and qualitative information.
Finalyse is monitoring the development of revised Regulatory Technical Standards for the KID and provides services for implementation of the new regime. Click here for more information.
