On 27 June 2017, a new consultation on the harmonisation of OTC derivatives data has been launched at international level. The Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI) and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) at the Bank for International Settlements have issued the third consultation paper on OTC derivatives data elements, other than the Unique Transaction Identifier (UTI) and Unique Product Identifier (UPI). The consultation is open until 30 August 2017. The CPMI and IOSCO will then publish international policy guidelines on OTC derivatives data until 2018.
The international harmonisation serves for aggregation of data on OTC derivative contracts reported to trade repositories, as under EMIR in Europe. Are you trading with OTC derivative contracts? Read about Finalyse’s independent valuation and EMIR reporting services!
