Four Partners are leading Finalyse globally: Benoît Leman, Managing Partner, Thomas Gillet, Partner - Embedded Expert Services, Silvio Santarossa, Partner - Risk Advisory Services, and Marc-Louis Schmitz, Partner - Valuation Services. Alongside these Partners and in close cooperation with them, local Directors and Managers are in charge of local business development and guarantee tailor-made services to our clients: Geoffroy de Failly, Director (Luxembourg), Péter Kovács, Director (Hungary), Jan Nuyt, Country Manager (The Netherlands) and Artur Mojecki, Country Manager (Poland).
Benoît Leman, Managing Partner
Benoît Leman has been Managing Partner of Finalyse Group since November 2013. In his role, he is in charge of Finalyse strategy and corporate finance. As Chairman of the Partners Board, he steers the development of Finalyse operations in Europe.
Since Benoît joined Finalyse in 1996, he has developed a unique expertise in the design and implementation of valuation, ALM and risk management systems for top banking and insurance institutions in Europe, bridging the gap between business requirements and complex information systems, all this in a fast moving regulatory environment. He became a Partner of Finalyse in 2001.
From early 2008 until November 2013, Benoît was acting as Resources Director for Finalyse Group. In this role, he was responsible for consolidating group services and building up a unique platform of internal services - amongst others finance, human resources and ICT - to the benefit of Finalyse business entities.
In 2013, he successfully steered the management buy-out (MBO) of the company, leading a transaction that was supported by the key managers of the consulting company and bringing around the table several private investors, principally coming from the finance and banking world.
Benoît holds a Master's degree in Business Engineering.
Thomas Gillet, Partner - Embedded Expert Services
Thomas Gillet, Partner - Embedded Expert Services, brings to the management team of Finalyse 15 years of experience in Business Intelligence. Working for Finalyse since November 2001, he has played, over the years, different roles (Business Analyst, Technical Developer and Project Manager) on various Data Warehouse projects in the banking industry. He has gained thorough experience in data modelling techniques and reporting tools when building Data Warehouse / Datamart projects for the Market Risk & ALM departments of several banking institutions. He has recently developed a strong knowledge around the regulatory reports related to the implementation of the Basel III Liquidity Coverage Ratio which implements the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR).
Thomas is in charge of the quality control on the BI aspects of our projects, but his responsibilities also include the recruitment, training and follow-up of a pool of consultants, as well as the commercial development of the Embedded Expert Services. He has also been involved in various internal projects, among others the implementation of our timesheet system and the development of Finalyse project management methodology. Finally, he is also in charge of multiple internal processes (career development and annual review among others).
Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Business Engineering.
Silvio Santarossa, Partner - Risk Advisory Services
Silvio Santarossa, Partner - Risk Advisory Services as of 1st January 2014, brings to the management team of Finalyse 15 years of experience and an extensive background in risk, financial and capital management through various positions held in the audit, consulting and bank management worlds.
Holding a Master in Management Sciences (Louvain School of Management) and a Master in Advanced Finance (ULg/Hec), Silvio started his career as a senior auditor specialising in banking, investment funds and derivatives in Luxembourg and Brussels. His second career step brought him to work as a senior risk consultant and manager for a big financial institution, in the ALM and Risk departments, where he could focus on many diversified topics like VaR, Earnings@Risk, Credit Risk, Economic and Regulatory Capital, Stress Testing, Basel II and III, etc.
More recently, he has strongly contributed to the building of the Capital Management team of BNP Paribas Fortis (for the CFO Office) while sharpening his managerial skills with an Executive Master of Management at the Solvay Business School.
This context has allowed him to play a significant role in the integration process with BNP Paribas Group around capital matters, and to directly deal with regulators strategic topics such as ICAAP, BIII projections and long-term financial planning that combines solvency, liquidity and profitability key indicators.

Marc-Louis Schmitz, Partner - Valuation Services
Marc-Louis Schmitz, Partner of Finalyse, is in charge of the independent valuation services of Finalyse. In this role he has global responsibility for the operations, the development and the strategy of the independent valuation services at Finalyse. As he has been involved in the pricing of complex derivatives and structured products as of the beginning of his career, it allows him to master the pricing and valuation best practices as well as the related complex processes and systems.
Marc-Louis has been working for Finalyse since 2006. He has been involved in various projects in different financial institutions, as a Consultant and then as a Manager in the Financial Markets and Market Risk areas i.e. Model validation and development, functional and business analysis and gap analysis. He has developed in-depth expertise in Valuation and Risk models as well as Front and Middle office systems functionalities and structures. More recently he has steered the expansion of Finalyse valuation services to regulatory compliance topics such as EMIR, MIFID, UCITS, Solvency II and PRIIPS.
He holds a Master’s degree of Economics from the U.L.B., a post-graduate Master of Financial Economics from the K.U. Leuven and the PRMIA certification.

Geoffroy de Failly, Director (Luxembourg)
Geoffroy de Failly joined Finalyse in March 2008.
As major achievement to date he played a central role in the setup of Finalyse’s affiliate in Amsterdam, ranging from the execution of the investment plans, the recruitment and the management of the cross-cultural team. His key focus remains however on all commercial-related activities, i.e. consolidating the local market share, identifying new clients for growth and opening up new accounts. Effective January 2011, he started commercial inroads in Luxembourg for serving new customers across the region.
Prior to working for Finalyse, Geoffroy spent more than 15 years in various managerial roles within the payment industry (Visa and MasterCard) in Brussels and in Luxembourg, for a Swedish bank well-known for its most advanced entrepreneurial mind-set. In addition to his overall commercial duties, he formulated a pioneering cross-border pan-European strategy and boosted the sales through specific channels in order to anticipate new competitive trends.

Péter Kovács, Director (Hungary)
Péter Kovács has been the Director of Advisory Services Central and Eastern Europe since November 2013. In this role, he is responsible for the strategy and operations of the Advisory Services with specific focus on client relations, knowledge and talent development in the fields of credit and operational risk management and related implementation in cooperation with other Finalyse entities.
Péter joined Finalyse in 2008 as a Senior consultant specialised in Credit Risk. With an increasing range of responsibilities, he was promoted Business Area Manager Credit and Operational Risk in 2011. In these roles, he took an active part in Advanced Internal ratings-based (AIRB) (scorecard, PD, LGD and EAD) model development, implementation and validation as well as AMA model development and implementation projects both as risk expert and delivery manager in the CEE region.
Before joining Finalyse, Péter worked in retail credit risk management as an analyst, modeller and product risk manager for 4 years at subsidiaries of leading global and regional banking groups in Hungary. He retained his devotion to detail and a process-minded, data-driven approach for solving business problems.
Péter holds an MSc in Business Administration with specialization in Investment Analysis and Risk Management.
Jan Nuyt, Country Manager (The Netherlands)
Appointed as Country Manager in January 2017, Jan Nuyt is in charge of further developing Finalyse on the Dutch market, reinforcing an already strong and diverse local team of consultants and expanding the portfolio of local clients.
Working for Finalyse since 2012, Jan has a wide expertise in the area of risk management with 9+ years of working experience as a quantitative, functional and business analyst. Jan’s main strength is his excellent quantitative finance knowledge combined with a very broad banking experience in different domains (credit risk, market risk, finance, ALM and IT).
As a Principal Consultant at Finalyse, Jan has assumed a broad range of roles for various clients in The Netherlands and abroad, like lead modeller for credit risk stress testing models and IFRS 9 provisioning models and lead validator of credit risk models. Jan holds a Master's degree in Econometrics, Quantitative Finance.
Artur Mojecki, Country Manager (Poland)
Appointed as Country Manager in October 2015, Artur Mojecki is in charge of the development of Finalyse on the Polish market, building a strong local team of consultants and acquiring a portfolio of local clients. Arthur’s goal is to create a recognizable brand among top consulting companies in Poland, identified with comprehensive offer and highest quality of services.
Artur is an expert in developing new businesses and unexplored activity areas with over 10 years of experience on the strategic managerial positions. Prior to joining Finalyse, Artur worked for top banking institutions in Poland.
He is a leader of significant scale business projects and sales channels expansion: branch networks, internet, phone and video, with competence in implementation of banking concept for the most demanding “Premium Customers”.
Artur holds a Master's degree in Business Administration.
